CORRIENTES INDUCIDAS (ET)

The test of Induced Currents consists in the application of an alternating magnetic field on the surface of a conductive sample, so that an induced electric current is generated on the surface thereof. The discontinuities of the material cause alterations in the flow of induced currents, whose representation on the display screen of the ET equipment alert the inspector of the presence of a defect. Likewise, the test of Induced Currents is sensitive to the variation of some of the properties of the material of the piece, such as, the electrical conductivity or the magnetic permeability, allowing the test to be applied for the classification of the samples and for the measurement of non-conductive coatings on a conductive base, among others.

INSPECTION THROUGH INDUSTRIAL RADIOLOGY (RT)

Industrial Radiology involves the use of gamma radiation or X-rays to detect defects or examine internal or hidden characteristics in materials. A X-ray generator or a radioactive isotope is used as the source of radiation. The radiation is directed through the piece and onto a radiographic film. The resulting shadow diagram shows the internal characteristics and the solidity of the piece. The thickness of the material and changes in density are indicated as lighter or darker areas in the radiographic film.

ULTRASOUND ADVANCED (PHASED ARRAY-TOFD)

The Phased Array system is based on using probes with multiple crystals. By selecting a set of them and applying the appropriate delays, we can obtain different angles and focuses. In the Welding Inspection, this means that for what was previously used several probes, with this technique we use a single probe.
